Mavimba

About a month ago we met a man who is working for the teak company in Ifakara, he is a real rough Dutch guy, but somehow really nice. He told us about a colleague of his working at the mill who also has a child and lives in complete isolation close to Ifakara. We decided to call them and get the kids together so they could play. It was the most wonderful experience. Their little girl is only a month older than Clara and they played nicely with one another. They live in the middle of the rainforest in a beautiful modern home, with every comfort possibly imaginable. It’s very strange… Around their home are always baboons and other wildlife, sometimes elephants, sometimes leopards, sometimes black mambas… They’re really great people. It is definitely good to find another expat family in Ifakara, lots can only be understood if you have kids.
